My New Plan — A June 2021 Writing Update

My New Plan — A June 2021 Writing Update

Wow, it’s been ages since I wrote a post. I wish I could say I’ve been busy taking over the world, but I haven’t. However, I have been busy.

So, what have I been up to? Mostly, I’ve been spending two months of quarter two being indecisive. Why? Well, let me start from the beginning.

Once upon a time … ha-ha! Okay, I’m just messing, but I do want to take you back to 2017, so let’s jump in the time machine and go back, back in time.

Working in Sprints — A Productivity Experiment

Working in Sprints — A Productivity Experiment

Wow! It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post. The primary reason for my blogging absence is because I needed all of my energy to edit my horror flash fiction collection (I’m no longer going to publish this collection, but I’ll explain why in a future post). But I’m back, and today I want to talk to you about the productivity experiment I did recently.

Q1 2021 Goals Review and Q2 2021 Goals

It’s April, and that means we are now in the second quarter of 2021. How the hell did that happen?

Okay, I’m no longer freaking out (I’m lying, I’m still freaking out), so it’s time to see how well quarter one went. Short answer: it was a total fail. Okay, not a complete fail, but it did not go to plan. Let me explain.

Happy New Year! I can’t believe 2020 is over already. It was a strange year. Anyway, let’s leave 2020 in the past and focus on 2021. And the best way to do that is to tell you all about my 2021 writing and reading goals.

My First Time at a Heart Breathings’ Virtual Writing Retreat

My First Time at a Heart Breathings’ Virtual Writing Retreat

On 16th October 2020, I took part in my first Heart Breathings’ virtual writing retreat. The event lasted for three days, and its goal is to help you write your current project.

In October, I joined Sarra Cannon’s Heart Breathings Word Sprints Challenge Facebook group. I had heard about this group from Sarra’s Heart Breathings YouTube channel, which I watch for the great writing and self-publishing advice — she’s amazing. If you’re a writer, I recommend you watch this channel.

On 20th September 2020, I attended the writing live stream hosted on Natalia Leigh’s channel and co-hosted with Brooke Passmore and Mandi Lynn.

For ages, I wanted to attend an AuthorTube writing livestream. So I was happy to see that one was planned at a suitable time for me.

Writing Update and My September Goals

It’s September! Oh no, there are only four months left of 2020. How did that happen? Okay, shock over — well, not really, I just need to move on to the post topic.

So, as it’s a new month, and near the end of the third quarter of 2020, I thought now would be the right time to give you a little writing update and share what my plans are for September.
