It’s NaNoEdMo time!

It’s November 1st, and that can only mean one thing – it’s finally time for NaNoEdMo (or NaNoWriMo for those writing a novel this month). I can’t believe how quickly November has come round. It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was deciding whether to take part in NaNoWriMo or NaNoEdMo this year.
I have to admit I am nervous about tackling the NaNoEdMo challenge. I’ve not been doing well with reaching my writing and editing targets (for my short stories), but I will not allow my fear to stop me from accepting this challenge. I vow to finish the third draft of my novel by November 30th, and I will do everything in my power to reach that goal – I’ve been working on this novel too long, and I need it finished.
So what do I plan to do for the first day of NaNoEdMo? Well, I plan to edit three chapters of my novel. I’ve written out an editing plan which lists all the things I will be focusing on during the third draft stage – I’m a planner I plan everything lol.
I’m hoping to reach my goal of editing 18 chapters this week. I will keep you all posted on my Twitter and Facebook pages – I also have a November 2016 – NaNoEdMo Facebook group (2025 Update: Group is no longer open) where all you writers can join me on this quest.
So all I need to do now is edit. Good luck to everyone who’s taking part in NaNoWriMo and NaNoEdMo. We can do this!
Stay spooky, folks!
