My Sweet Gift to You
‘My Sweet Gift to You’ is a 100-word story (drabble). This story was originally written for the 2016 Reader’s Digest 100-word competition. Sadly, I wasn’t shortlisted, but I did manage to find a home for it on the FridayFlashFiction.com website.
For this story, I wanted to try writing in second person present tense. It was a challenge at first – I’m used to first or third person past tense – but I’m glad I tried writing in the second person. I have since gone on to write more second person flash fiction stories.
